Our K-9s

K9 Exepnathos (Zippie) is no longer with us. During his life he was incredibly outgoing, had a great nose. He loved to meet the public, and especially had a way of knowing when people did not feel well. He was very careful around people with serious medical conditions and learned to sit next to wheelchairs and let people pet him.  He especially loved to lick the tasty flavors off of babies who had not yet learned to not spill their food on their little hands. 

K-9 Okallistos (Okie) is an air scenting area search dog.  When he is "hanging out" at a team event he is usually pretty mellow and laid back but when it is time to work he gets to it.
He has a deep, reasonably loud bark and has been known to lick faces before, during, and after barking.  He especially likes to be chased by children after he finds them. 

K-9 Ekallista (Eika) is Okies littermate sister. Like her brother, she is relaxes at events, and enjoys watching the crowd as well as interacting with people calmly. She is a very independent worker who stays with her handler and scouts around to find her "missing person". She generally starts out with a lower volume higher pitched bark but as she gets more and more demanding that her handler get over there, her barks get louder. She is a bit more stingy with the kisses and also likes to strut around with her reward toy before she drops it and waits for people to
