The very best way to help us is to join our team and be one of us. On a search, there are huge amounts of ground that need to be checked, and more trained searchers are always welcome. If you are not able to join, there are other ways to help.
1. You can serve as a one time, or regular "Hider" for our K9s.
In this role, you are sent to a very specific place by a member of the team, we keep in contact with you by radio and/or cell phone, you get to rest in the woods pretending to be lost and then when found you help reward the dog. This is one of, if not THE the most important role. Dogs need a constant supply of "fresh meat" otherwise they can learn that their job is only to find a person they know, not a stranger.
2. You can serve as a "character actor"
At times, we need people to "play the part" of a pretend missing persons friend, relative, a witness, etc. This is to help our search managers learn to ask good questions. If you are an amateur or even professional actor or actress this may be a great match for you.
3. You can support our team financially, with a one time gift or regular support.

4. Supply a training location.
If you are a manager or owner of a business, a shopping mall, warehouse, or have access to some other large parcel, we are always looking for places to train. While we do train in and around parks, it is not as easy to train on private property because it is... Private. Missing people do not really differentiate, and they could very easily be hiding behind that LPG storage cabinet for the forklift tanks, under that tarp covering the lumber, or in that unmowed area behind the office complex. We need to train there too. We can even arrange to do this at night, since we search at night as well, this is ideal.
