Ground Search Unit

Ground Searchers are the foundation of the Search and Rescue Team. They may serve with a team of peers, lead groups of volunteers, work with K9 handlers as flankers, or work in Incident Management.

Ground Searchers have the skills and knowledge to perform ground search tasks in Wilderness and Suburban/Urban environments. Ground Searchers must have a minimum certification level in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.
